Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George

By Emma

I opened this book the moment we got home from the library and finished it the next day because I was so excited to find out where the 12 princesses go to wear out their slippers every night. The book starts when Galen, a young soldier, comes to the palace to work. His strict uncle is the head gardener there. Meanwhile, Princess Rose, the eldest of 12 flower-named sisters, lives in an elegant palace under a curse. Every night, she and her sisters are forced to dance for King Under Stone. Galen plans to save them. I couldn't put the book down because I felt like I was there and because it was very exciting. The story was mysterious and suspenseful. You will like this book.
