Animal Farm by George Olsen
Emma
Don't worry, my teacher MADE ME READ THIS. I AM NOT POSTING THIS FOR PURE ENJOYMENT OF OLD AND FRIGHTFUL LITERATURE.
Anyway, about Animal Farm. This book is a satire on the Russian Revolution.
Brief history moment: In Russia, they were ruled by a Czar. They realized they didn't like being ruled by Czar. They overthrew the czar and a few political men with big ideas became leaders. The people loved their ideas. They loved the idea of working for yourself, not a king, and ruling yourself. Everything went great until the leaders realized what they could do. They twisted the laws and made it seem like they were doing what the public wanted them to do. But soon they had so much power, they used it worse than the Czar ever would have.
In animal farm, there is a farm in England where the animals decide they don't like being ruled by a farmer. They overthrow him and begin the new and glorious animals farm.
