Matched, by Ally Condie
Emma
Cassia is excited to be matched - to go to the ceremony where she will be shown who she will someday marry. Soon after she is matched, there is a mix up, and Cassia is unsure. Who does she WANT to be matched to? No one has ever asked this question. No one has ever made their own choice. Not since before the society started. Suddenly Cassia finds herself in a dangerous trap. What would happen if there were no society?
I had heard lots of good things about this book, and they were true. Usually I don't like Utopian novels, but this one one was great. It was interesting to see how things worked in her community, and what Cassia does about it.
