Hattie has discovered Ella's curse and Ella is now Hattie's servant, or slave. "Comb my hair! Clean my room!" on and on until, "you can't be friends with Arienda anymore!" That's it. Ella leaves to find Lucinda, the fairy who gave her the curse. With each step on the journey, she realizes how dangerous her gift is.
